An Independent Mind. A Questioning Voice.
I am an author, an educationist and, above all, a curious observer of the world around me. I write about education, language and India, and I question what we have grown used to accepting.

ABOUT ME
I would rather ask a difficult question than accept an easy answer.
I have always been fascinated by ideas — how we acquire them, how we develop our beliefs, and how often we mistake inherited opinions for independent thinking.
My professional journey has been closely associated with education. Over the years, I have developed a particular interest in how children learn, how educational institutions function, and why our conventional approaches to education frequently fail to deliver what they promise.
But my interests extend well beyond classrooms.
I am equally interested in India's political and social landscape, its institutions, its development priorities, and the enormous gap that often exists between national aspirations and ground realities.
I write because I believe ideas matter.
I question because I believe unquestioned assumptions can become our greatest limitations.
And I read because I remain convinced that learning should never have an age limit.
This website brings together the different dimensions of my intellectual interests and creative pursuits.
You may agree with some of my views, disagree with others, or perhaps discover a perspective you had never considered before.
All three are welcome.
MY BOOKS
Ideas deserve to travel beyond their authors.
Writing is my way of exploring ideas in greater depth and sharing them with readers who may find something meaningful in them.
My books span different subjects, but they share one underlying philosophy: conventional wisdom deserves to be examined, and learning need not always follow conventional routes.

A Practical Approach to Learning English
An approach to English learning that places comprehension, reading, vocabulary and practical application ahead of the excessive emphasis on grammatical rules.
Ditch Grammar, Speak English
Do we really need to master grammatical rules before we can speak good English?
I explore the possibility that language acquisition can be more natural, intuitive and inductive than our conventional education systems would have us believe.
India's Broken Education
An examination of the shortcomings, contradictions and structural weaknesses of India's education system.
A subject that deserves far more honest discussion than it generally receives.
INDIA: THE QUESTIONS WE MUST ASK
Are we progressing, or merely congratulating ourselves?
India is a country of extraordinary possibilities.
We have a young population, enormous human potential, a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit and a civilisational heritage that should inspire confidence.
Yet, I find myself asking some uncomfortable questions.
Are we genuinely addressing the fundamental problems that prevent India from becoming a developed nation?
Are our political priorities aligned with the aspirations we repeatedly announce?
Are we investing sufficiently in education, scientific temper, public health, institutional integrity and the quality of human capital?
Why do we celebrate short-term achievements while frequently ignoring long-term structural deficiencies?
And perhaps the most important question:
Are we confusing the ability to dream big with the ability to deliver big?
Through my writings, observations and forthcoming videos, I intend to examine these questions without being constrained by political affiliations, popular narratives or the compulsions of political correctness.
My intention is not to run down India.
It is to question the assumptions, decisions and priorities that may be holding India back.
I call this endeavour Critic India.
Because sometimes, the most constructive thing one can do for a country is to question it honestly.
IDEAS, OBSERVATIONS & COMMENTARY
A curious mind rarely runs out of questions.
Not everything I write or speak about fits into a particular category.
Some subjects demand serious examination. Others simply provoke curiosity. Some invite debate, while others encourage us to look at familiar things from an unfamiliar perspective.
Here are some of the areas I intend to explore:
Education & Learning
Why our education system needs fundamental rethinking. What children should actually learn. Why we confuse academic achievement with education. And whether our schools are preparing children for the world they will inherit.
India & Its Development
The realities behind India's development aspirations. The misplaced priorities, institutional weaknesses and uncomfortable economic and social questions that rarely receive adequate attention.
Politics & Public Life
Political promises, public accountability, governance, leadership and the distance between political rhetoric and administrative performance.
Society & Human Behaviour
Why people think the way they do, how beliefs are formed, the influence of conditioning, and why independent thinking is so important.
Books, Ideas & History
Books worth reading, forgotten stories, historical perspectives and ideas that deserve a wider audience.
Learning, Awareness & Life
The lifelong process of learning, self-awareness, human potential and the fascinating relationship between our conscious and subconscious minds.
This section will grow with time. I hope it will become a space where readers come not merely for information, but for perspective.
MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL
Conversations that go beyond the obvious.
I am working towards launching a YouTube channel where I intend to discuss subjects that interest me and, hopefully, interest you too.
Expect conversations and commentary on:
- India's political and developmental realities.
- Why becoming a developed nation requires much more than ambitious declarations.
- The problems afflicting Indian education.
- Books, authors and ideas worth discovering.
- Society, human behaviour and the psychology of everyday life.
- Subjects that provoke thought, challenge assumptions and encourage debate.
I do not intend to offer ready-made opinions for people to consume.
I would rather present arguments, examine evidence, raise questions and encourage viewers to arrive at their own conclusions.
You need not agree with me.
But I hope you will find something worth thinking about.
VISIT MY YOUTUBE CHANNELA NOTE TO MY READERS
Agreement is optional. Thinking is not.
I have never believed that intellectual engagement should be about winning arguments or establishing the superiority of one's opinions.
It should be about discovering better questions, examining different perspectives and, occasionally, having the courage to change one's mind.
If something I write makes you think differently, I consider that worthwhile.
If something I say makes you disagree, I welcome that too.
I would much rather have an intelligent disagreement than an unthinking agreement.
This website is intended to be an open space for ideas, questions and conversations.
You are welcome here.
CONNECT WITH ME
Let's keep the conversation going.
Whether you have read one of my books, watched one of my videos, wish to discuss an idea, or simply want to share a perspective, I would be happy to hear from you.
Thoughtful criticism, constructive disagreement and meaningful conversations are always welcome.
Write to me. Read my work. Watch my videos. Challenge my ideas.
Because the world does not need more people who merely repeat what they hear.
It needs more people who think.
